Recording, Mixing & Mastering
Mixing is one of the most critical components of creating a quality recording. Once the song is recorded; volume levels are set and effects (EQ, compression, delays…) are added to make a cohesive and natural-sounding recording. This process can take anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks, depending on the level of production you are seeking.
The best and safest way to prepare your stems for mixing is to bounce them all out as separate raw audio files (WAV or AIF). Logic X in particular has an option to ‘Export All Tracks As Audio Files’, but basically whatever DAW you’re using you need to get your raw separate audio stems bounced/exported out, all starting at 0 over to us and we’ll handle the rest. We also accept Logic X projects if you just prefer to zip compress and send that over as well as many other options… Just ask, and we’ll be there to help guide you through it.
Yes. For voiceovers, check out our studio packages to find one that best suits your needs, or contact us if you have a more complex project that requires sound design/audio production.
Mastering is the process of turning a mixed song or collection of songs(EP/Album) into a final cohesive body of work for manufacturing so that it translates well across systems: CD player, radio, computer, car stereo, phone, Bluetooth speakers, headphones, etc. You can take a look at our album deals on our Mixing & Mastering page.
We record many different genres; Afrobeat, Dancehall, Pop, R&B, Rap, Reggae, Soca, Etc…
Outside of music, we also record voiceovers for commercials, television shows, cartoons, video games, movies, audiobooks, promotional mixes/CDs, etc…
Please contact us asap to have any issues or grievances rectified.
After you receive your final mix/master, you are allowed one (1) free revision. See our Policies & Procedures for more information on revisions and refunds.
